What is Luxtone Flooring?
Sitting between traditional engineered wood and luxury vinyl, Luxtone is made with the latest technologies and has the natural appeal of real timber flooring. With a flexible yet rigid core, it is relatively easy to install and has a stronger joint than traditional SPC. Transform your home with this natural wood alternative.
Why Choose Luxtone Flooring?
Durable Design
Less dense but with a stronger core layer than traditional SPC, Luxtone flooring is sure to pass the test of time. The advanced ceramic PUR coating provides enhanced protection against scratches, stains, and UV damage.
There’s added reassurance, with a 20-year domestic and 10-year commercial warranty across the Luxtone range too.
Effective Noise Reduction
With improved underfloor contouring and built-in IXPE underlay, Luxtone effectively minimises the levels of reflective and transmitted noise for everyday tranquility.
Natural Look and Feel
Luxtone is naturally embossed for a highly realistic and luxurious look and feel. Experience the calming comfort as you walk across the soft-touch boards.
Sustainability Assured
Being significantly lighter than equivalent SPC flooring, Luxtone installation makes for a +15% reduction of the carbon footprint.
Range of Colours and Finishes
From the distinctively patterned Herringbone English oak to the tile graphite stone, you can choose Luxtone flooring in colours and finishes to suit your home.
Popular Luxtone varieties include:
- Vinyl Herringbone Boat Shack Oak - with its warm, rustic, “beachy” feel, ideal for living and dining rooms
- Vinyl Herringbone Nimbus Oak - combining the natural appeal of oak with the distinctive herringbone patterning for a classic sense of luxury
- Vinyl Flooring Planks in Pure Satin Oak - perfect for a plain-oak look that will run seamlessly through multiple rooms
- Vinyl Tile in Graphic Stone - with a strong graphic stone effect that has a striking visual impact.
Luxtone Specifications
Made for performance and stability, Luxtone boards have a standard thickness of 5.55mm, a width of 180mm, and a length of 1220mm. This includes the IXPE underlay, with a matte coating and 0.55 mm wear layer for protection against scratches, dents, and stains.
Besides making for a significant reduction of noise, Luxtone flooring is also 100% waterproof and slip-resistant (R10 standard). So you can be assured of improved home safety and not have to worry about splashes or spills.
Given the variety of colour options, wood effect grains, and surface textures, you’ll have no trouble finding Luxtone flooring that perfectly complements your home interior. It’s the versatile choice for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, living rooms, and bedrooms.
Installation Tips
Rigid but flexible, the next-generation core technology makes Luxtone easier to install than regular SPC flooring. Fitted with licensed Uniclic and Unidrop locking systems, Luxtone boards allow for glue-free connection with basic tools. Just be sure to leave at least 48 hours for acclimatisation and store the flooring packs neatly on a flat surface before fitting. The Luxtone boards should also be inspected under natural light, with any defective panels not being used.
Here are some handy installation tips:
- Measure the space to establish the number of Luxtone panels required (allowing for 10% wastage)
- Plan the flooring layout, with the joints ideally being staggered for a stronger structure
- Starting with the first row, use a spacer for separation from the wall
- Use cut-offs where possible for subsequent rows, angling and folding the planks for a secure fit
- Attach the flooring using the secure locking system and a mallet so that it remains firmly in place.
With the Luxtone floorboards secure and a few finishing touches added, you can enjoy the natural look and improved underfoot comfort. Luxtone flooring is compatible with underfloor heating for year-round warmth as well.
Care and Maintenance
Luxtone flooring is very easy to clean and maintain, with a microfibre cloth or mop recommended for the everyday removal of dust and debris. We also advise vacuuming or damp mopping each week for the removal of stubborn stains and debris that might be dried into the surface. It’s always best to use soft parts to avoid scratches.
Follow these tips to keep Luxtone flooring in the best condition:
- Immediately wipe up any spills or excessive liquids
- Attach protective devices, such as felt, under furniture
- Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners and bleach in floor maintenance
- Don’t drag or slide heavy objects over the floor
