Our Bathroom Oak Basin shelf is manufactured from sustainable character oak in a variety of thicknesses, lengths and colours. If you need a bespoke size just ask as we can manufacture almost any size.
Please note: Our sink shelves have a slightly longer dispatch time than our standard products due to the laminating process. We currently estimate 1-2 weeks for dispatch.
Supplied with heavy duty Hebgo Brackets which discreetly sit underneath the shelf. One pair is rated to a hold a maximum load of 150kg.
Each oak basin shelf receives a professional spray lacquer finish, the most durable finish we offer and impervious to water and other liquids. Cleaning products with chemicals should be avoided. Warm soapy water or Morrells sanitiser spray is best to keep the product clean. Although lacquer is a very durable finish creating a barrier between the wood and any water we still recommend keeping the sink shelf as dry as possible, wiping any water away reasonably quickly.
We manufacture our floating bathroom shelves from European Kiln Dried Oak in full staves. Each vanity basin shelf goes through a rigorous tried and tested finishing process.

Our worktops come as either unfinished or oiled. Unfinished is the ideal option if you are making further cuts on site, once fitted you can then finish in your choice of oil. We have worktop oil to buy on our website. If you choose an oiled finish we will use a hard wearing Holzol worktop oil. We offer a lacquered finish or our tables tops and bathroom shelves / worktops as these are much more resistant to spillages and marks and damp areas.
With oiled surfaces it is important to wipe away spillages. Any damage can be easily repaired with a light sand and re-coat of oil. It is best to re-oil surfaces yearly to keep them looking their best. Do not soak with water or use harsh chemicals. You can then re-apply when needed. A simple test is to put a small droplet of water on your worktop, if it beads on the surface it's fine, if it starts to penetrate the surface then it's time for another coat of oil.
With a lacquered finish, damage can not be repaired on site however damages are less likely to happen as the finish is a much more heavy duty commercial finish. It is important that chemical cleaning products are kept away from lacquered finishes as this can breakdown the finish. It is best to clean wooden surfaces with a slightly damp cloth. you can use soapy water or Relay spray which is lacquer friendly.
We always use full length staves to create our worktops which are between 75mm-150mm wide, professionally laminated together. For our square edge bathroom shelves which are thicker than 40mm these will also be professionally laminated together to create the overall thickness.
