Designed following countless customer requests, these compact corner shelves bring together timeless craftsmanship and practical design. Crafted from sustainably sourced solid oak and a substantial 32mm thickness, each shelf is built to last and designed to showcase the natural beauty of the timber.

Every shelf is made using kiln-dried oak, helping to ensure long-term stability and minimise movement once installed in your home. The oak is carefully hand-finished with our signature aged finish, highlighting the natural grain and character of the wood. A brushed texture and hand-finished edges add depth and authenticity, while the chamfered corners create a softer, more refined silhouette.

The discreet fixing system creates a floating shelf appearance, allowing the beauty of the oak to take centre stage.

Our Timber

SUSTAINABILITY

We always use oak sourced from sustainably managed forests. We also plant one tree for every £50 spent with us — for our oak shelves, this means planting an average of 135 trees for every one used.
CRACKS & MOVEMENT

Our solid oak floating shelves are handcrafted from the finest quality kiln dried European oak ensuring stability in your home. We have a couple of air dried oak shelves in our range for a further rustic appearance, these are well air dried ensuring minimal movement once installed in your home. If you fit the shelves near a heat source (such as above a radiator) some movement may be expected. Some shelves may have fine cracks which may be filled with filler before the final coat of stain and wax is applied depending on their size.

OTHER DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Oak is a natural product, therefore knots, colour, grain pattern and other distinguishing features can vary. Each shelf is completely unique! We aim to manufacture our solid oak floating shelves to the highest possible standard. In order to minimise waste, we may manufacture floating shelves from two or more pieces of timber to create the required depth. By following strict industry standard techniques, this does not detract from the overall quality and actually results in further stability.

SIZE TOLERANCE

We work to a tolerance of  +/- 5mm.  If you need a length smaller than a standard size, please order the next length up and leave a note in checkout to cut it down. Please note, this will make the item non-returnable.  Need something more bespoke? Get in touch for a quote.

WEIGHT TOLERANCE

Our solid wall fixings have the capacity to hold up to 35kg of weight between 2 fixings. This includes the weight of the shelf. Longer lengths come with more fixings. Our plasterboard fixings are suitable for plasterboard between 9-15mm thick - 2 fixings (2 T brackets and 4 Gripit fixings) can hold up to 20kg of weight including the weight of the shelf. This is a guide only - condition of the wall, shelf placement, weight distribution and shelf depth all affect the weight capacity.

Please note none of the above can be treated as defects.

OAK SHELVES

FAQ's

Do shelves come with fixings?

Yes all of our shelves come with fixings for either solid masonry walls or plasterboard walls depending on the product you select.

We have products made especially for pasteboard walls so if you are fixings solely into plasterboard walls please make sure the product says "for plasterboard walls" in the title.

How much weight can my oak shelves hold?

For shelves suitable for solid walls, as a general rule, 2 fixings can hold up to 35kg of weight including the weight of the shelf. Our plasterboard walls can hold up to 20kg between 2 fixings including the weight of the shelf.

Shelf depth, wall type, condition of wall and distribution of items can affect the weigh capacity.

Where will the fixings be positioned?

The amount of fixings your shelf will have will depend on the length chosen.

Shelves under 4ft will come with 2 fixing points.

Shelves 4ft-5ft will come with 3 fixing points.

Shelves 5.5ft-6ft will come with 4 fixing points.

Shelves 6.5-7.5ft will come with 5 fixing points.

Fixings are usually around 5" from each end and then any subsequent fixings evenly spaced between. (This is not guaranteed) If you need to make sure the fixings are in a suitable position to enable you to fit to timber studs, please get in touch and we will be happy to adjust fixing positions on your order.

Can I have a bespoke size?

If you would like a bespoke length, please order the next length up and leave a note in the checkout to cut the beam down.

If the length you need is longer than what is listed or you need a different depth please contact us and we will be happy to check if this is something we can offer and provide a quote.

Please note that bespoke sizes will make the shelf none-returnable.

Where does your wood come from?

In order for us to be sustainable our timber must be too! Our timber is always sourced from reliable and reputable sawmills who are FSC or PEFC certified. We also give back to the environment by planting more trees than we use!

Oak Colour Finishes

Our premium range of wood stains, waxes and oils have been hand selected to enhance and protect the natural beauty of oak, creating a deep, rich, luxurious finish.

Our stains penetrate deep into the oak and provide long-lasting colour, while our waxes seal and protect, leaving a velvety feel that ages gracefully over time. The finish will highlight the unique grain and introduce depth of colour and character that each beautiful piece of oak deserves.
