We understand that choosing the colour for your rustic pine shelves can be tricky. That's why you can now purchase colour samples to help you make the decision and see how the colour looks against existing furniture in your home. Each sample is the approximate size of a business card.
Please use our samples as a guide only. Larger pieces may show variation in colour, grain, knots, cracks and other distinguishing features.
If you would prefer, please send us a high-quality photo (in natural lighting) to info@traditionalbeams.com of your existing furniture and we will do our best to help you decide which colour would be the closest match.

As wood is a natural product, colour variation van be expected. Some pieces of wood may be darker or lighter than others which is hard to tell by a sample and the grain may also affect the overall colour.
No, Redwood and Oak are completely different species of wood and the stain takes differently to the wood. For this reason if you are undecided on oak or redwood but like a particular colour, it is best to purchase the colour sample in both species of wood.
