Incorporating a full stave solid oak worktop into your kitchen brings a level of natural beauty and character not possible with man made alternatives. We manufacture all our full stave oak worktops entirely in house at our facility in North Yorkshire. We have full control of the entire process meaning we can offer this fantastic product at great value for money.
This worktop is 2m long.
We manufacture our oak worktops with full length staves, meaning each solid piece of timber laminated together to make the worktop runs the entire length of the worktop. The individual character and grain of the full length staves makes for a luxurious and elegent look. This can't be achieved with the cheaper block construction oak worktops.
We supply our full stave oak worktops in beautiful full length staves between 75mm - 160mm wide. The staves are machined and professionally laminated together creating a strong and durable structure. 32mm thick.
We can either supply in a more cost effective unfinished or you can take advantage of our in house finishing service.
If an oiled finished is selected we will use Odie's Oil which is a fantastic and durable finish. It is vital that you let the Odie's Oil cure for the first 3 weeks and not let the product come into contact with any water during this time.
Please note: Our window sills have a slightly longer dispatch time than our standard products due to the laminating process. We currently estimate 1-2 weeks for dispatch.

We use character grade oak You can expect cracks and knots (especially in larger pieces) as part of the beautiful characteristics of the wood.

Our worktops come as either unfinished or oiled. Unfinished is the ideal option if you are making further cuts on site, once fitted you can then finish in your choice of oil. We have worktop oil to buy on our website. If you choose an oiled finish we will use a hard wearing worktop oil. We offer a lacquered finish or our tables tops and bathroom shelves / worktops as these are much more resistant to spillages and marks and damp areas.
With oiled surfaces it is important to wipe away spillages. Any damage can be easily repaired with a light sand and re-coat of oil. It is best to re-oil surfaces yearly to keep them looking their best. Do not soak with water or use harsh chemicals.
With a lacquered finish, damage can not be repaired on site however damages are less likely to happen as the finish is a much more heavy duty commercial finish. It is important that chemical cleaning products are kept away from lacquered finishes as this can breakdown the finish. It is best to clean wooden surfaces with a slightly damp cloth. you can use soapy water or Relay spray which is lacquer friendly.
We always use full length staves to create our worktops which are between 75mm-160mm wide, professionally laminated together. For our square edge bathroom shelves which are thicker than 40mm these will also be professionally laminated together to create the overall thickness.
